A customer complains about not being able to use PayPal as mode of payment. What should I do?
A customer tried using PayPal to pay for his purchases by clicking on the PayPal button in the cart page. The discount appeared but at the end of the transaction, the regular prices of the items were applied and not the discounted prices. What should I do?
Instruct the customer to use the PayPal button in the checkout page and not the one in the cart page.
With the recent update from PayPal, Shopify apps can no longer apply discounts for customers' purchases. This makes our Quantity Breaks app not being able to work with PayPal. However, by using the PayPal button in the checkout page instead of the one in the cart page, discounted transactions are allowed to go through successfully.
To make sure that the customer will use the PayPal button in the checkout page, it is highly recommended to hide the button that is in the cart page. By doing this, confusion will be avoided and the customer can proceed with the transaction without any issues.
